What effect do extended commissioning phases have on the lubrication system?
The performance of the automatic lubrication system depends on the software programming of the PLC and of the entire system. The FlexxPump lubricates according to the settings and regularly releases lubricant. Güdel therefore recommends treating the product in accordance with the chapter "Decommissioning, storage" in the FlexxPump operating manual. In addition, the operating manual for the Güdel axis modules describes in more detail what work must be carried out during downtimes.
According to the Machinery Directive, commissioning is understood as first intended use. Integrators of Güdel products thus automatically become the operator of the product in the meaning of the operating manual. The operator is responsible for the correct storage, maintenance, repair and decommissioning. This applies until the integrator has handed over his machine or partly completed machine to the end customer. If there are several integrators in the supply chain, this obligation is passed on to the next integrator in the supply chain.
