Can I use the same lubrication quantities and intervals during start-up phases as during operation?
Lubricating quantities and intervals must always be adapted to the operating conditions. If the system is operated less frequently, less lubricant is needed. If the system is operated more frequently, more lubricant is needed. This prevents over-lubrication and under-lubrication.
NOTE
Lubricating film missing
A missing lubricating film on guideways and racks leads to damage to the product. This results in operational failure.
- Ensure that there is always a lubricating film on guideways and racks during operation
- Perform the described tasks at the specified times
- Perform lubrication work at the latest when the first signs of tribocorrosion (reddish discoloration of the track) are visible
- Adjust lubrication interval if necessary
